MILL BUILDING PROJECT

In this project we were asked to take the old Showers Dimension Mill in Bloomington Indiana and design a CoWorking office space for the Bloomington Tech Park and the private company Sproutbox.  We needed flexible office space, a confrence room, small meeting areas, private offices, a cafe, and a "bonus" area. My choice of a bonus area was a space that would bring in the surrounding neighborhood and keep the space from being rebeled against, which has happened in the past when new buildings are made.  The bonus space is a library/flexible office, attached to the same cafe as the Bloomington Tech workers. This cafe then becomes a meeting space for the community and the tech workers to come together and communicate with eachother.
